HyperKuhl Super Coolant is a two-in-one corrosion inhibitor and wetting agent. It reduces the surface tension of coolant, which allows it to absorb more heat at critical liquid-to-metal interfaces inside engine cylinder heads. This extra heat is drained to the outside environment via the radiator, and results in a net reduction in operating temperature. Cooler cylinder heads allow the engine ECU to advance ignition timing, resulting in more horsepower. It provides 100% protection from corrosion and electrolysis, even in straight water coolant. This makes it ideal for racing, because most race tracks prohibit the use of antifreeze. It also prevents water hardness from forming efficiency-robbing scales and deposits that cause overheating. Coolant's heat-transfer limitations can cause overheating and detonation, particularly in high performance and racing engines. When heat builds in an engine, the ECU automatically retards timing to prevent detonation, which causes horsepower loss.Running a 50/50 mix could be contributing to your problems. Straight water actually conducts 140% more heat than glycol, and 60% more heat than a standard 50/50 mix. But using straight water coolant can cause problems as well, because water does not provide any corrosion protection.HyperKühl SuperCoolant increases coolant's ability to wet metal surfaces inside a cooling system by reducing its surface tension. This allows coolant to conduct heat more effectively at critical liquid-to-metal interfaces inside the cylinder heads and radiator. The result is a net increase of heat away from the engine cylinder heads, and a net decrease in stabilized coolant temperature.
