Job Description
We are currently seeking a motivated Supply Chain professional to lead the materials management function relating to the planning, procurement, storage, control, and supply chain distribution of materials and products to meet company objectives and customer requirements.  This position involves directing and administering purchasing, production control, inventory control, shipping and receiving, and materials stores.  This position reports to the CEO.

Essential Functions

·       Investigate, implement, and manage new Supply Chain strategies to achieve optimal levels of customer service (product availability) and cost control

·       Lead efforts to outsource or in-source manufacturing functions to meet Company objectives.

·       Evaluate and utilize software systems to facilitate Material Requirements Planning (MRP)

·       Maintains optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries meeting customer requirements while minimizing carrying costs and premium transportation charges.

·       Develop and implement forecasting methodology for Master Schedule to meet Company inventory and customer service goals.

·       Supervises and establishes procedures for taking and valuing the year-end physical inventory.  Monitors maintenance of perpetual inventory system to ensure the highest degree of accuracy throughout the year.

·       Oversees and ensures proper production control planning and scheduling programs to meet sales forecasts and to balance the level of manpower and machine requirements.

·       Develop Supply Chain partnerships to enhance Supply Chain performance through lead time and cost reductions.

·       Manages the shipping and receiving functions of the company and oversees the storage of purchased parts and finished goods.

·       Keeps abreast of new sources of supply to maximize use of just-in-time inventory practices.

·       Educate, motivate, and develop employees to optimize their performance and their personal and professional growth.

Job Requirements-

·       Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field. CPM or CPIM is desirable.

·       Seven years (minimum) experience in various materials control functions.

·       Experience in the automotive aftermarket industry is highly preferred.

·       MRP/ERP competency and experience required, implementation experience preferable.

·       Experience in outsourcing domestic and offshore.

·       Demonstrated success in Supply Chain optimization.

·       Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills.
